YouTube has announced that it is now offering nearly 4,000 episodes of TV shows for free with ads. The 100 TV shows include Andromeda, Kitchen Nightmares and Beyond Belief. However, this content is limited to viewers in the US.
Google is no stranger to free, ad-supported TV content (FAST), with YouTube previously offering some premium content for free and Pluto TV recently moving to the Google TV platform.
However, the company does not stop there as YouTube has now announced that it is offering a variety of TV shows on the platform for free with ads. More specifically, the company says it offers nearly 4,000 episodes of various TV shows.
Some of the more prominent TV shows listed on YouTube include Andromeda, Beyond Belief, Earth: Final Conflict, Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Relic Hunter, and Silk Stalkings. Otherwise, you’ll be watching a total of 100 free TV shows with ads.
These TV shows join a range of free movies already available on YouTube, such as Gone in 60 Seconds, Legally Blonde, The Island, and Paranormal Activity.
Unfortunately, these TV shows and movies are currently limited to the US. Nonetheless, it’s clear that the FAST segment is getting more competitive, with YouTube, Tubi, Plex, Pluto TV, and Samsung TV Plus all vying for a piece of the pie.
