Few phones reach the same price point as the Samsung Galaxy A53, but the plastic back and Gorilla Glass 5 screen aren’t as resistant to drops as their more premium counterparts. To help keep your device safe, we’ve tested and selected the very best Samsung Galaxy A53 cases for you to buy below.
Spigen Liquid Air
Thin and light Textured non-slip surface Form-fitting housing Very affordable Mil-grade certification Comes in black only
The Spigen Liquid Air almost always takes the top spot in our favorite cases, and the same goes for the best Galaxy A53 cases. It hits the right spot between weight, protection and price that’s hard to beat. The form-fitting case features MIL-STD-810G-rated toughness with a textured rubber-like back to improve grip. If you don’t like the grippy texture, the Spigen Thin Fit with smooth back is also a great choice. The only downside is that these cases only come in black.

Craving for double guard
Rubber texture Six attractive colors Affordable Decent protection
If you like the grippy texture but want more color, this Galaxy A53 case from Crave is a great alternative. It’s not as feature-packed as the Spigen option above, but overall it’s remarkably similar with a rubberized back and slightly thicker construction than most thin cases. It even fetches about the same price. You can get this case in six attractive colors: black, slate, navy blue, red, blush and forest green.
Stylish new design Two-tone colorways Soft-touch, antimicrobial finish Affordable 1.8m drop protection
This brand new design from Speck combines many of the excellent features of the above options. It doesn’t have a textured back, but the soft-touch anti-microbial finish still provides a firm grip and prevents accidental slipping. Despite its relatively thin design, it can withstand drops up to two meters high with two layers of built-in protection. Grab it from Speck’s official website in four color combinations at the link below.

Unique design Convenient rear grip Additional side handles Affordable Only two colorways
Spigen sub-brand Caseology is known for stylish designs and the Athlex doesn’t disappoint. It has a unique finish on the back, with a built-in slit that is perfectly placed to support your grip on the phone. There are also two more handles on the sides so that even one-handed users don’t have to worry about dropping the device. The color options are a bit limited with only two available, but the Active Green colorway above is quite eye-catching.
Crystal clear design Excellent fit Offers some protection Affordable
As for clear cases for the Samsung Galaxy A53, you can’t do much better than the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Build quality is excellent and while it isn’t the thinnest case, it offers above-average protection. There isn’t much variety when it comes to clear cases, so save yourself the hassle of shopping around and buy this one. Trust us, you won’t regret the purchase.
Nice design Built-in screen protector Slightly pricey 10-foot drop resistance
Looking for something more feminine? This faux marble case for the Galaxy A53 might just be the way to go. The beautiful design is sure to turn heads and the built-in screen protector will keep your device safe for years to come. It’s a bit more expensive than the options above, but it’s a lot more complicated than all the other designs on the list.
Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro
6m drop protection Built-in screen protector Bulky Slightly pricey Comes in black only
The next one is for outdoor types who need as much protection as possible. Supcase makes some of the best rugged cases on the market, and the Unicorn Beetle Pro is the top of the line. It features a 20-foot drop protection, a built-in screen protector, a kickstand and a detachable belt holster. If you can do without the screen protector and want to save some money, the non-professional Unicorn Beetle case is also one of the best Samsung Galaxy A53 cases you can buy.
Excellent protection Slightly bulky Built-in kickstand Affordable Available in two colors Rugged Armor is a great alternative
For more affordable (and less bulky) protection, Spigen makes a few cases that have a lot to offer. First up is the Tough Armor, which offers military-grade protection and a built-in, if a little flimsy, kickstand. It comes in two colors, black and slate, and as far as rugged cases go, it’s not overly bulky. For even less bulk, the Spigen Rugged Armor is a good choice. It drops the kickstand and provides additional protection for a more streamlined case design. It doesn’t offer the same level of protection, but it’s one of the cheapest cases you can buy for the Galaxy A53.
Excellent Protection Bulky Clear Back Relatively Affordable Various Color Options More Poetic Cases Available
Our final pick comes from yet another brand known for its protective cases, Poetic. The Poetic Guardian offers many of the same features as other protective cases, but with a transparent back. The frame of the screen protector is also available in a few color options, although you also have the option of using the case without the included protector module. Poetic also sells a model with a stand called the Poetic Revolution, as well as a sleeker (but still protective) design called the Poetic Neon. All three are excellent options if you don’t mind a little extra bulk.
