PUBG’s KRAFTON & Solana Labs Are Working On Blockchaing Gaming

PUBGs KRAFTON Solana Labs Are Working On Blockchaing Gaming

The two companies will work to create and develop game apps and services that you can earn.

While the gaming community has been quite resilient to NFTs and metaverse initiatives that were introduced, game publishers seem to be moving forward with the implementation of emerging Web3 technologies.

Based on KRAFTON’s press release, Solana Labs will help PUBG developers launch blockchain games on its powerful Ethereum scaling solution.

Speaking about the partnership with KRAFTON, Head of Games Business Development at Solana Labs stated:

“KRAFTON is an established innovator in the game industry and we are excited to be a part of their next level. We see gamers increasingly seeking on-chain games and game companies that respond quickly to this demand will prepare themselves well for continued success.”

With the multi-year deal between the two tech companies, KRAFTON will be responsible for the fundamental development of the upcoming games, while Solana Labs will take on the Web3 side of things by participating in marketing initiatives, assisting with the design and implementation of digital assets in the gaming ecosystem.

The partnership between the companies will allow them to look for new investment opportunities and potentially acquire or acquire smaller game studios and blockchain startups.

KRAFTON’s Web3 Roundtable leader Hyungchul Park said they will partner with other Web3-powered companies, and “accelerate the investment in and output of blockchain-based experiences.”

Blockchain gaming still has a huge question mark as it reminds members of the gaming community of money grabs that have been prominent among video game publishers for years.

However, if you look at it on the bright side, according to the Balthazar Community Insights Report, more than 90% of respondents from Singapore would be interested in blockchain gaming as a full-time job or passive income.
